Growth Spurt: What's New with The Fit Nic

The past couple of weeks have been an absolute whirlwind here with my little fitness-biz-on-the-side. In the few months, I've seen growth like I never could have imagined. I want to give a lot of credit to the Piedmont Public Library for inviting me to lead free fitness classes for their Health Literacy program. It helped me see a real need for other options in our community, it introduced me to so many wonderful people, and it helped me reconnect with people I haven't been able to see in a while thanks to the pandemic.

Since starting with the library classes, I've been able to get back into not only leading group fitness classes, but also small group and individual coaching. I love, love, love helping people see their value, recognize their strengths, and accomplish their goals.

I wanted to use today's blog post as an update to what is going on with The Fit Nic and to show you the new opportunities for you as a result:

  • SMALL GROUP COACHING is back. We kick off May 3 and run through the 30th. The cost is $40 for four weeks, and you'll get not only small group support, but also individual consulting. This group is intentionally smaller than my past groups to ensure more personalized attention. Contact me to sign up.

  • THE FIT NIC APP makes it easier to participate and interact with the website. You'll stay updated about what's going on, see a class schedule, join groups, and more. Download the Spaces by Wix app from the App Store or Google Play Store and enter code TEHDVT.

  • PARK AFTER DARK is still going strong and has even grown! We meet at the Piedmont Community Park on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:45 p.m. to work out together. We'll rotate through several of my class styles to keep things interesting. Cost is only $5 per class.

  • LOYALTY CARDS are available for Park after Dark classes. Attend 9 paid classes and get your 10th class for FREE. Grab a loyalty card at your next park workout, and make sure to get it punched after class.

  • GET PUMPEDâ„¢ is a new class I'm unveiling in May, and you're going to love it. It uses light dumbbells and high repetitions, and basic body sculpting and strength training exercises are synced to music to keep your energy and motivation high.

  • AAFA GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION is underway. It is important to me to bring you the most experience and the highest qualifications. When I complete the course, I will add Group Fitness Instructor certification to my credentials, which already include ACE Personal Trainer certification; ACE Weight Management Specialist certification; MixxedFit® Instructor license; Zumba®, Zumba Gold®, Aqua Zumba®, and Zumba Kids/Kids Jr.® Instructor licenses. Personal Trainer certification allows me to teach small group fitness, as do my MixxedFit® and Zumba® licenses, so I don't need this certification to do what I do. However, being certified as a group fitness instructor as well as a personal trainer allows me to be the best I can be, so I can offer you the best. In the fitness industry, I see a lot of people acting outside of their scope of practice. It's important for you to be aware of your trainer's or instructor's qualifications and credentials.

Of course, the library classes are still going strong. What an amazing opportunity for our community to have FREE fitness classes taught by certified fitness professionals!

I have more opportunities for you that I'll be unveiling in the coming weeks and months as I continue to grow this business. I'm excited about the chance to work with you and about all the new things we have in store. Subscribe to the website, get the app, and never miss a notification about the amazing things we're going to do together.
